With time the inclination has increased for the natural healing process, and meditation has gained its eminence as a natural healing method. The practice is prevalent for ages and is very scientific. Along with healing the mind and heart, it also aggravates the body’s healing potential with speed.

Proper meditation techniques need to be practiced for the same. The art and science of meditation have existed in East Asian Countries since the Vedic ages. Healing Meditation is a complementary process that speeds the healing of the mind, spirit, and body.

Ancient Science behind Healing Meditation

The Vedas, the ancient Hindu scriptures, have explained that every human being has three aspects. The first is the physique or the outer body that we can visualize. The inner layer comprises the inner being or the conscious self, including the six senses, intelligence, ego, and memories.

The deeper inside is formed of the subconscious self. This is the seat of wisdom, knowledge, and creation. This deeper inside is the motivator of all activities which are creative and fruitful. When one meditates, this deeper inside is rejuvenated and, in turn, activates the physical body, which becomes the doer of actions.

But healing meditation practice does more. It soothes the mind and the body of the wear and tear due to age or disease and gives it new strength.

Ways meditation acts as a healer of the Mind.

When you meditate, you zero in your consciousness to the present and only a point or a part of your body. The result is that you become unaware of the past or present stress, sadness, and life problems. They all vanish from your mind and go to oblivion for the time being.

This allows you to get out of stress and heal yourself. Your mind becomes clutter-free. The negative thoughts are removed. The process enables you to look at things maybe just from the opposite angles or newer perspectives. Your thinking ability is enriched.

Quickly you can get out of stressful and painful situations. With healing meditation techniques, you can sense lesser pain in that area over time when you focus on the pain area. This helps in better pain management.

Healing meditation techniques:

Technique 1: (Drawing healing power from the heart chakra)

If you are looking for a healing meditation technique to alleviate your pain, find below a simple process that works with the healing power of ‘Anahata,’ the heart chakra.

Go to a quiet and less disturbing place but full of sunlight so that it is less gloomy. If you have a lawn adjacent, that will do, or you can practice it in a nearby park. Breathe deeply and feel the sunlight over you.

Mentally focus on the pain area and let the sunlight touch that area. Feel the warmth there. Ask the Sun to heal you. The Mayans, the Hindus, and the Egyptians consider the Sun as a great healer.

Put your palm now on the pain area and rub it with a relaxing, circular stroke of the palm and release the pain that has become chronic mentally.

Now feel rooted to the ground and connect with the energy of Mother Earth.

Chant a mantra that gives you strength. Try to keep it short for one or Two words like “Lord Jesus” or “Mother Mary” or “Om.” You may choose any according to your belief and preferences. Put your palm on your chest and feel the heart chakra.

Focus your attention there. Stay focused for some time. Feel the energy from your heart flowing to the pain area to relieve your pain and stress.

Practice this technique for some days and feel your pain vanish. This simple technique is great healing and beneficial.

However, those suffering from mild depression or who have gone through some sorrowful events recently may find the above practice difficult. They may practice the below technique.

Technique 2: (For those who may suffer from loss or depression)

Go to an open space with enough sunlight. If you are sick, just lie down on your bed or sit in a relaxed position on the sofa. Make your place of meditation free of noise.

Slowly close your eyes. Focus your Attention on the pain area and try to feel it mentally. Mentally try to release the tension from the site.

Now shift your focus to a part of your body that is healthy and feels fine. Try to feel that area mentally.

Try to bring in that feeling of goodness to the pain area and release the tension. Stay there for quite some time. While doing so, keep on inhaling and exhaling deeply. Chant a mantra that calms you. Repeat the practice for some time.

Practicing the technique over some days will indeed aggravate your healing process. You know the science behind it now – the lowering of cortisol and cytokinin from the pain area.
